Danielle Diamond, DVM - Surgery

Dr. Danielle Diamond grew up traveling the world as a Navy brat. After completing her undergraduate degree at University of Delaware (Newark, DE) and then her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University (Grafton, MA), she chose to continue “the family tradition” by entering the United States Army Veterinary Corps. Danielle was fortunate enough to serve her country in locations both domestically and abroad, including a combat deployment to Djibouti, Africa. She was selected for a Small Animal Surgery residency at NC State University (Raleigh, NC) and then able to utilize her specialized training in the Veterinary Corps before deciding to hang up her boots after 14 years of active duty and pursue civilian practice at CASE while still serving in the reserves as a Major.

Danielle’s time in the Army has piqued her interest in Military Working Dog medicine, but her passion still resides in helping every animal live its healthiest and best life – whether that be at “Camp Couch” or defending our freedom. She is excited to bring her worldly knowledge to the Hickory area and develop relationships with both her local veterinary colleagues as well as pet owners.

When not gowned up in the OR, Danielle spends most of her downtime doting over her three Labradors, honing her skills as an amateur adult equestrian, whipping up cookies in the kitchen, or wading into one of the many local streams with a fly rod.
